We all wear masks

Masking our Feelings

It is not only neurodivergents who mask parts of themselves sometimes. We all do.
It is very common to put on our work mask, home mask, socialite mask etc.

But masks are also ‘worn’ to hide our uncomfortable feelings or parts of ourselves we think will not be accepted. Hiding behind ‘I’m fine’ is ok for a while, but other people are not mind readers and sometimes can’t see we are in pain if we hide it behind a cheerful facade.

And getting diagnosed with a neurodivergent condition, can. be especially difficult if we always try and fit in, and act ‘normal’ whatever that is.

This is why so many women, especially, don’t get diagnosed until a lot later in life.

I love small businesses and working with business owners to build websites that support their dreams is such an awesome part of my job! Why let the huge faceless corporations have all the fun (and the money)? Your small business can make a huge difference but it needs a smart website to support it.
